TWO WEB BASED DOG BEHAVIOUR COURSES

by Peter Lewis

In addition to the vast number of books Peter Lewis has written about dog training subjects and dog behaviour we are pleased to be able to offer the opportunity of two behaviour courses.

Course 1.

CHANGING DOG BEHAVIOUR

A Diploma in - Changing Dog Behaviour (CDB) - Psychology, other theory and practical remedies.

Having studied Peters book How to change Dog Behaviour (available from this site) this course asks questions about the information contained in the book.   The only aim of these test papers is to verify that the candidate has absorbed the information contained in this book.  We acknowledge that there are other books and ways of learning about dog behaviour and indeed would suggest that anyone interested in this subject should leave no stone unturned in their quest for information.

The tests are in the same three parts as the book as follows:-

Part 1. Essential theoretical understanding

Part 2. Non aggressive problems

Part 3. Aggression problems

Upon enrolment a test paper is sent by e mail which asks questions about Part 1.  Students then return the completed paper by email in their own time.  If a minimum of 80% accuracy of answer is achieved the student can apply for the Part 2 question paper to be sent. Part 3 is sent under the same conditions applying to Part 2.   See Further information at bottom of page.

The questions listed under each relevant chapter heading of the book test whether the student has studied the book’s information. Students may work at their own pace as there is no time limit.  Three grades are available for the overall percentage marks for the three parts.

The minimum pass mark for each part is 80%

Diploma in Changing Dog Behaviour (CDB) – requires a minimum of 80% in all three tests

Overall grades of pass

Pass 85%, CDB          Excellent pass 90%  CDBex          Distinction pass 95% CDBdist

Advising the result of each part which will occur within 14 working days. At that time any areas where full marks were not achieved will be indicated.  Unsuccessful candidates may take the tests again and those wishing to attempt a higher grade may also re-take the tests. Retaken test questions will differ from the original ones received and only two attempts can be made.
