There are many books available about pet dog training so that after reading more than one the reader is often confused.  Many such books are not written by people with vast hands-on experience such as this author.  If you want to really know what to do and what not to then this is the book for you.  This first part deals with all the training problems and bad habits that can arise in the home.  Part 2 takes the reader on to training exercises. 

First published in 1977 this book became the bible of the sport and launched so many dog trainers on a successful working trial career.  It was updated in 2002 and is available again as the seventh title in the "How to series".  This 152 page re-write concentrates on foundations and all aspects of training from the lowest level to the tracking dog stake.  Illustrated with line drawings it is a must for those with an interest in this particular dog training sport.
